I enjoyed the stay overall.
Handy place from Kurashiki Station and the Bikan area. I could relax in the Onsen bath on the 2nd floor.

Je sais que ce n’est pas à la mode mais en tant que fumeuse une smoking room a 2 places pas plus grand qu’une garde-robe c’est peu pour ce genre d’hôtel

What was the highlight of Green Rich Hotel Kurashiki Ekimae (Artificial hot spring Futamata Yunohana)
Comfortable, quiet and cosy room.
The hotel provided all of the essentials that we look for -- clean, good location, good soundproofing, decent private bathroom, window/natural light, double bed. We enjoyed having a bathtub. We didn't use the sento (hot baths), but they said that small tattoos would be tolerated as long as you cover them up. In the winter the room was a comfortable temperature without requiring us to turn on the AC/heating. They provide room cleaning or new towels on request. The main attraction -- the canal and old town -- is just a minute's walk away.
They offer breakfast for 1200 yen but it is probably not appealing for those looking for a continental buffet breakfast. If you are vegetarian, don't pay up front -- in the morning, look what they have and pay if you think there is enough for you to eat (unlikely). The breakfast is a bit too early, from 6:30 - 9:30. The room was a little small, with a narrow space between the bed and desk, but this is normal in Japan.

Fantastic value for money
This was our cheap night after a Ryokan. It was fantastic value for money. Lacked nothing higher priced ones had - the Onsen was great. Breakfast not to our taste but we are in a different country so don’t expect different, we knew this might well be the case. Fab VFM.
Wish we’d known how good the chain were beforehand- might have saved a few Yen
